Kristine started with Audit Services in July 2003, after working for five years in the Portland Office of Management and Finance as a Senior Financial Analyst. Prior to her work with the City of Portland Kristine worked for two years as an Assistant Analyst with the Oregon State Department of Administrative Services. Her previous experience includes working as a Graduate Teaching Assistant at the University of Utah , and as a Staff Assistant in the Idaho Governor’s Office.
As a Senior Management Auditor, Kristine leads and mentors auditors in their work on various projects, and she conducts staff training on audit processes and auditing standards. In addition to mentoring, she also acts as Auditor In Charge on various audit projects. For the past three years she has served as project manager on the division's nationally recognized Service Efforts and Accomplishments report. The report has won the Certificate of Achievement in Service Efforts and Accomplishments Reporting from the Association of Government Accounts, and the Sloan Foundation, in each of the past four years.
Kristine, along with Public Information Specialist Robert Cowan, won the 2010 Platinum Hermes Creative Award for Publication Design Overall, for the design of the 2009 Resident Survey Report. Kristine and Robert also won the 2010 Gold Hermes Creative Award for Publication Design Overall, for the 19th Annual Service Efforts and Accomplishments Report: 2008-09.
Kristine holds a master's degree from Portland State University, and a bachelor's degree from Albertson College of Idaho.
She is a Certified Internal Auditor and a Certified Government Auditing Professional, and is a member of the Institute of Internal Auditors, the Association of Local Government Auditors, and the Government Finance Officers’ Association.
